My eyes are now adjusting,
to the fact that it is morning.
My body’s feeling achy,
like a punch without a warning.
But I make it to the kitchen,
and I get the coffee going,
The dogs are wanting breakfast,
their demands to eat are showing.

I power on the TV just to,
Get some headline news.
The first thing that I hear,
involves the Hantavirus cruise.
“This is will not spread like COVID”
said the expert on the screen.
bit I also saw on Facebook
that they’re making a vaccine.

Now I’m filling up on caffeine,
and writing down some tasks,
and planning what’s for dinner,
cause somebody always asks.
Then, I start a load of laundry,
and I’m feeling in my zone.
Right before I get distracted,
and I’m scrolling on my phone.
